A two-year starter, Reese has become one of the most intriguing "jack-of-all-trades" prospects in the country, frequently rotating between off-ball linebacker, edge rusher, and interior pass-rusher. At 6’4” and 243 pounds, Reese possesses a unique frame that allows him to fly around the field with rare speed and balance. Because of this rare blend of size and agility, many evaluators are comparing his potential impact to that of Micah Parsons.
As a pass rusher, Reese is explosive. He consistently wins by driving blockers back into the pocket, though his technical refinement is still in its infancy. He relies heavily on his natural power and physical intimidation, but his impressive footwork and quick-cut ability suggest he has the potential to develop into a much more sophisticated technician as he adds more nuance to his pass-rushing attack.
Reese’s versatility is a double-edged sword. While his ability to drop into zone coverage or act as a quarterback spy provides immense value to a defensive coordinator, he is not a "coverage-first" linebacker.
