Kenyon Sadiq is a junior tight end from Oregon who recently cemented his status as a top-tier prospect with a historic performance at the NFL Scouting Combine. After playing a complementary role early in his career, Sadiq broke out during his junior season, leading the Ducks with eight receiving touchdowns—the highest mark among tight ends nationwide—and finishing second on the team in receiving yards (560).
Sadiq is, quite simply, a "freak" athlete. His record-breaking speed and explosive jumping ability are evident on film, where he consistently stresses defenses. As a pass catcher, he is a nightmare matchup for linebackers and safeties. He finds space effectively in zone coverage and has the vertical speed to threaten the third level of the field. While he occasionally struggles with focus-related drops, his ability to extend plays after the catch makes him an immediate weapon.
Perhaps his most surprising trait is his effectiveness as a blocker. Sadiq is a well-rounded player who demonstrates fantastic technique, whether he is blocking on wide receiver screens, pulling across the line, or engaging defenders at the second level. While he may occasionally be outmuscled by the most elite, explosive NFL edge rushers, he is far more technically sound and physical than most "move" tight ends.
